"Above all, I look for an inner silence. I seek to translate the personality and not the expression" - Henri Cartier Bresson
Nowhere is it easier to translate the personality than with children. My favorite way to photograph someone is to observe them simply being, whether they are interacting with their natural environment or responding to an unfamiliar one. Children are present in every moment and a reminder to us to slow down, to look, touch, and listen. When photographing children I let them lead the way and I follow.

The photo above was taken while following Jude around his backyard. On this day he was particularly interested in all of the flowers that were blooming and he clutched this particular daisy to his chest for the entire 3 hours we spent together.
